CHOCOLATE CONCRETE IN PLATE

The texture is a little confusing because it is between cake and biscuit, or you normally say that this is a mixed version of cake, brownie and biscuit.

My Chocolate concrete recipe is very simple and kitchen friendly which can be made with just four ingredients. And You too can make it very easily within 30 minutes. So why wait for hed up to the kitchen and bake.

Why is it called chocolate concrete?

Immediately after baking, it remains completely soft like cake. After a while, its texture becomes like brownies which are a little hard and a little soft and then after some time, it becomes completely hard, which is called chocolate concrete.

Where does the chocolate concrete come from?

This dessert was served in the 70s to 90s in the school in England that time children were always in a hurry to get the bigger part of the dessert. Children used to eat it with hot pink custard or alone.

Is chocolate crunches the same as chocolate concrete?

Both chocolate concrete and chocolate are the same. There is a slight difference between them: chocolate crunch has additional ingredients such as dried milk powder, golden syrup, and vanilla essence.

Chocolate crunch has a slightly softer texture than chocolate concrete. Let me know if you want the recipe.

  2. It can be made in under 30 minutes, so whenever you craved this, you can make this.
  3. It can be stored easily, so you can bake this and store them.
  4. It is very cheap.
  5. It is filled with chocolaty flavour.
  6. It is equally delicious rich, and indulgent.

Is Chocolate Concrete A Cake Or a Biscuit?

It is a bit confusing to say that it is cake or biscuit. You say that the texture is somewhat between cake and biscuit. You can say this is a shortbread type biscuit.

I haven’t used eggs or dairy products in my recipe, so that’s why the recipe is vegan people also make this using eggs and self-rising flour. The self-raising flour and the egg will cause the mixture to rise and become more sponge-like.

what should you use, cocoa powder or hot chocolate powder:-

Both can be used in the recipe today. I am using cocoa powder to make my chocolate concrete. Still, alternatively, you can use hot chocolate powder if you are run out of cocoa powder

Cocoa powder gives a rich chocolaty flavour to the chocolate concrete. If you have cocoa powder in your kitchen, go for it. But I think you should try both and share your experience with me.

Although you can also use drinking chocolate, it won’t give that dark colour and rich flavour that the cocoa powder gives.

If you’re not sure what kind of cocoa powder to use, go for the cheapest choice or utilise the cocoa powder you currently have on hand. There’s no need to spend a fortune on cocoa powder.
